Create with Connie and Marry Challenge CCMC-HOL5

Well, this is the last challenge with 'Create with Connie and Mary' and I hope everyone likes what I did.
Here is what the CCMC-HOL5 sketch challenge looks like. We can enter our designs and have the chance to win prizes! So I'm hoping that I will win with my design.

I worked on a design but didn't like the end result so I started over and came up with this:

So here is the recipe for my CCMC-HOL5 challenge card:

Stamp Set: Merry & Type
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Olive Olive, Marina Mist, Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, DSP - Letters to Santa
Other: Stampin' Write Markers (Cherry Cobbler, Olive Olive, Marina Mist), Early Espresso, Dazzling Diamonds, Stampin' Dimenationals, Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding, Textured Impressions Snow Burst

Here are a few close up pictures of my card. If you look close you can see that I cut out all the little curves on the DSP stamp image. Boy of boy, that was hard.

Now, if you're interested, here is my first card. I'm not sure if you can enter two cards so I am entering my second card because I think it came out better than the first one.
So this is what it looks like with the two rectangles off to the left. However they are movable that's why I used velum with a frame.
This is what it looks like when you move the velum frame over the tree. Cute but I didn't think it was a winner.

Well, I hope you like my cards and leave me a comment. If you would like to purchase any of the items used on these cards, you can do so by visiting my online store.
Happy Stamping!

You know, I've been wanting to cut apart that DSP and use it as "postage" pieces on my cards! It works perfectly here! I love the moveable piece on the second one, too! Thanks for playing along with us on Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition!

Very, very creative on both cards. I agree, the DSP looks so real on your card. Thanks for playing the Saturday Challenge at Create with Connie & Mary!
