Valentine's Day Cupcake in the Oven

Hello Stampers,
I just wanted to share with you a project I found over at 'Stamped in His Image' from Julie Campbell. She made this adorable little oven that she found at the site of Lauren Meader's 'bun in the oven' baby shower favor so I guess instead of re-inventing the wheel, we just get a good thing and make it better.
So now here is my version of the Little Oven

The cupcake you see here is about the size of a real cupcake and the best part is that it fits in the oven! 
I liked it so much that I made two of them (LOL)

You can give this little oven with a cupcake as a birthday gift or a Valentine's Day gift. They are just too cute, don't you think!

Creating Pretty Cards – Monthly Card Challenge #14!

I saw this sketch and all of a sudden I had all these ideas for cards, so although the challenge was to create one card using the sketch, I created three. Yea, I know I got a little carried away. LOL

When I saw the sketch, I immediately thought of a leaf falling so this is what I came up with.
I used the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP (126906) that I got at convention. I don't think I would have ever bought this DSP because I don't do a lot of Halloween cards, but now I really like this paper and plan on getting more.
I also use More Mustard, Tangerine Tango, Basic Gray and Very Vanilla. I use the leaf from Betsy's Blossoms (126006) and the sentiment from Loving Thoughts  (125845). I also use Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon (120999). I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits (127010) and Adorning Accents Edgelits (125595). I embossed with the Square Lattice folder (119976) and used the new Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003) to layer the DSP. This card has a lot of layering but I don't think it looks too busy.

Here is my second inspired card (CPC14) 02

I just love the colors in the Floral District DSP (126919). On this card I used the Sweets for the Sweet (122512) stamp set as well as Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370) stamp set. I used a little bit of Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon (125583) in the bottom corner. I used the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch (119854) and the 1 3/8" Circle punch (119860). For the sentiment, I used the Word Window punch (119857) and the Modern Label punch (119849).

Well, I just couldn't make these cards without making a Christmas card, so here is what I came up with (CPC14) 03

This one was pretty fun to make and I just love the colors, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla. On this card I used the Be of Good Cheer DSP (126896) and Gumball Green card stock (126840), Cherry Cobbler card stock (119685) and Very Vanilla card stock (101650). I added a little piece of Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon (124138) in the lower right corner. I used the new Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003) for the sentiments and the Ornament punch (119847) as well as the 1" (119868) and 3/4" (119873) Circle punches. I used the new Merry Minis stamp set (127919) with the coordinating Punch Pak (126882). Then I used the Chock-Full of Cheer stamp set for the Merry Christmas sentiment.

Flower Step Card

I know I haven't posted any pictures of the cards I've been making lately, and I sorry about that. I've been so busy and I guess a little lazy too. LOL

Anyway, I have been working on several different cards, but was inspired to post this one. I hope you like it.

 I saw this challenge with the Create with Connie and Mary team and just knew I had to make a card using some of the new Summer Smooches products because they are so bright and pretty. And because of the vibrant colors, I just couldn't stop at one card challenge so I made two. LOL

A New Year means NEW PROJECTS!!!

Hello Stampers,

Well, 2012 has finally arrived and I've been busy with the after holidays clean up as well as working on some new fun and exciting projects to share with you.

First of all, I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Years (a little late) and welcome you back to my blog. I'm going to try to post a little more often and show more projects this year.

January 4, 2012 was the release of Stampin' Up's Occasions Mini Catalog which means a whole lot of new stamps, ribbons, dies, embossing folders and more along with a few new items to to the product line.

There are new Framelits Dies, Edgelits Dies and even a Large Sizzlits Die that are to die for. There are some amazing new Designer Series Papers (DSP) that will make your heart flip, like the new Twitterpated and Sweet Shop just to name a few. There is also Twitterpated Designers Fabric to go with your projects. I love the new 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon which comes in four fabulous colors as well as some cute little Trinket Hearts and the amazing Maze Game with matching stamp set, Totally A-maze-ing.

Here are a few projects that I've managed to complete.

It seems that every year after the holidays I seem to get a little sick or someone in family gets sick, so I decided to make this little set.
I use the new MIXED BUNCH (125537 c) stamp set from the Occasions Mini catalog as well as the matching BLOSSOM punch (125603). I used the JUST ADD CAKE DSP (124339) and Tangerine Tango card stock (111349).

Happiest Birthday card:

I love the new Framelites Dies. I made this card using MARINA MIST card stock (119682) and Cherry Cobbler (119685). In addition, I also used the new LABLES COLLECTIONS (125598) Framelites Dies, APOTHECARY ART stamp set (125527 c), BLUSHING BRIDE 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon (125570), HAT PINS (125578) and ADORNING ACCENTS (125595) Edgelits Dies. I used, for the first time, the COLOR SPRITZER TOOL (107066) with the Marina Mist marker (119679).

Love Cards:

I used both of the new ADORNING ACCENTS (125595) Edgelits Dies on these cards. I also used the new FASHIONABLE HEARTS (125596) Embosslits die (only one of the hearts, there are 5 hearts in the die). I also used the I {LOVE} LOVE (117084) Jumbo Wheel and YOU ARE LOVED (123779 c) stamp set from the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog.

Graduation/Birthday Card

Hello Stampers,
Just wanted to share with you the very special Graduation/Birthday combo card I made for my cousin. He has a co-worker who will be graduating from college next month on her 50th birthday. Well, since you cannot go into a card store and find a card to suit this special occasion, he asked me to make him one. It took me two days to make this card but I think it was so worth it.

So, here it is, let me know what you think...

This is the front of the card. The cap and gown lifts up and the sentiments opens to the right to reveal what is underneath.

I added a piece of DSP with music notes to indicate the 'Happy Birthday' song. I also cut out the 5 and 0 for her age. In addition, I located the CSULB logo and printed it on card stock and applied it to the front.
This card offers more when you open the gate fold...

I ran the base card stock through my printer prior to embellishing it to print the sentiments on the right and left sides of the card congratulating her on her graduation. In the center is a birthday card.

This is what the inside of the birthday card looks like. I usually like to make my birthday cards with more cheerful colors, but I wanted to stay with the colors of the graduation card so I uses Very Vanilla, Basic Black and Basic Gray.

Well, there it is, two days worth of work. I really hope my cousin and his friend likes this card.

A Few of My Rrecent Cards

Hello Bloggers, sorry it's been a while since I've posted anything. I get so busy and then I seem to forget when I do have a minute to myself.

Anyway, first of all I want to show you a few of the Easter cards that I made.

Although this is NOT a Stampin' Up card (above), I just had to show it to you because it is just so darn cute. I used punches and a die to make this cute little Easter card. However, the 'Easter Wishes' sentiment is a Stampin' Up stamp from the 'Something to Celebrate' stamp set.

Isn't this the cutest Easter basket? I think so. I just loved it so much that I did this for my April workshop. I used the 'Crosses of Hope' Stampin' Up stamp set and the Trio Flower punch along with the Bigz XL Tasteful Trim Big Shop die.

In addition to the Easter basket, we also made a Mother's Day card and a Birthday card.
