2013 Graduation Card

June is almost here so I thought I better get started on some graduation cards before time gets away from me again.

I kind of CASE'd this card from Fran Sabad at Stampersblog.franticstamps.com She made a beautiful graduation card with books, backpack, iPod and more. I can just image that it took her a week to make it becaue it took me over a day to make mine. LOL

So if you get a chance, hop on over to see her card after you've seen mine and you see what I mean. In any case, I do hope you'll like mine too.

I made mine in the school colors for the Moapa Valley High School here in the small town I live in. And since there is someone graduating this year that I know, I'll have a card ready for him.

My card

I used the Pop-n-Cuts card base and created a graduation gown by using one of the dress framelits. I also used the first photopolymer stamp set (sorry, I forgot the name of it_
I created a pocket inside the card to hold a gift card.

This took me a long time to make but I'm glad I made it. And as I said, it didn't turn out as good as Fran's but I think it came out OK.

Please leave me a comment to let me know if you like it.
Thanks for stopping by.

It's great! I love the addition of a gift card sleeve - wonderful idea!
