Create with Connie and Marry Challenge CCMC-HOL5

Well, this is the last challenge with 'Create with Connie and Mary' and I hope everyone likes what I did.
Here is what the CCMC-HOL5 sketch challenge looks like. We can enter our designs and have the chance to win prizes! So I'm hoping that I will win with my design.

I worked on a design but didn't like the end result so I started over and came up with this:

So here is the recipe for my CCMC-HOL5 challenge card:

Stamp Set: Merry & Type
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Olive Olive, Marina Mist, Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, DSP - Letters to Santa
Other: Stampin' Write Markers (Cherry Cobbler, Olive Olive, Marina Mist), Early Espresso, Dazzling Diamonds, Stampin' Dimenationals, Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding, Textured Impressions Snow Burst

Here are a few close up pictures of my card. If you look close you can see that I cut out all the little curves on the DSP stamp image. Boy of boy, that was hard.

Now, if you're interested, here is my first card. I'm not sure if you can enter two cards so I am entering my second card because I think it came out better than the first one.
So this is what it looks like with the two rectangles off to the left. However they are movable that's why I used velum with a frame.
This is what it looks like when you move the velum frame over the tree. Cute but I didn't think it was a winner.

Well, I hope you like my cards and leave me a comment. If you would like to purchase any of the items used on these cards, you can do so by visiting my online store.
Happy Stamping!

Saturday Sketch Challenge 226

Well, I went and did it. I got myself evolved in another card challenge. But I love challenges so what the heck.

I saw the Stamping 411 challenge and knew just what I wanted to do for this card challenge. I looked through my stamp sets and decided on the 'Sweet Snowglobe' stamp set because it brings back such sweet Christmas memories of my childhood.

This is the front of my card. I used the Holly Berry Bouquet DSP (124004) found in the Holiday Mini catalog.

Here is a side view of my card. You can see here that I used my Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write marker to color the Shaker Frame so it blends in better.
This is a close up of my snowglobe. As you can see, I also applied Dazzle Diamonds to the trees, the falling snow and the snow on the house and on the ground as well as having the Mica Flakes inside the globe.

All items used are Stampin' Up! products
Card Stock: Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Designer Paper: Holly Berry Bouquet
Classic Ink: Wild Wasabi, Chocolate
Stampin' Write Markers: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Wild Wasabi

I hope you too will challenge yourself and make a card for this challenge. I hope you like my card. Please leave me a comment if you do. Thanks and happy stamping!

Fall Wreath

I made a Fall Wreath using the new Stampin' Up Simply Score board and it was so easy to use. I hope you will get it for yourself if you don't already have it because it is one of the most used tools you will have in your craft room.

I used several different Designer Series Paper (DSP) on this project as well as several different colors of solid color card stock. Just to name a few, First Edition, Flirtatious, Frightful Sight, Just Add Cake, Paisley Petals and Spice Cake.
Well I hope you like my version of the Fall Wreath and make one for yourself.

Create with Connie and Marry Challenge CCMC-HOL4

I have been so busy making cards and other projects for my workshop I almost missed this challenge.

My challenge was to create a card or project using these colors from Create with Connie and Mary Holiday 2011

Week 4 - Color Challenge CCMC-HOL4

So I wanted to use the Greeting Card Kids stamp set because it is so cute. Here is what I came up with, I hope you like it.
CCMC-HOL4
There are several layers to this card but only three colors. the little girl moves from side to side (so cute!) I made the frame from the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border (119275 $15.95).

A few more pictures of my card from the side view and a close up. Well, I hope you like my card and I hope I win!
